THE SITE/STORY SUCCESS PROGRAM

New connections.
Real work. Shared success.

When Site/Story introduces a new customer and that connection becomes a qualifying paid job, the winning business pays a success fee. Neighbors can explore, request a connection, and follow projects without a Site/Story referral charge.

2% of eligible collections

Calculated on service/labor revenue actually collected, excluding materials, permits, subcontractor pass-through costs, and refunds.

$1,000 maximum per job

The cap applies across the whole first qualifying job, not separately to each deposit or invoice.

No fee just for interest

A scan, appointment request, unsuccessful bid, existing customer, or unrelated repeat job does not create a success fee.

How it works

  1. 1. Sign in to your approved business account and accept these terms.
  2. 2. Site/Story records a new customer introduction and assigns the job to your business.
  3. 3. Send a proposal, record the customer’s response, and confirm the separate signed contract.
  4. 4. Report actual customer payments and refunds. Site/Story reviews the calculation and invoices your business.

Example: $10,000 in qualifying collected service/labor revenue creates a $200 success fee. No fee is collected automatically from Zelle or Venmo. Fees apply only to qualifying introductions after acceptance.

Join through Builder Studio

Business enrollment is open through Builder Studio. It does not require purchasing another project package. Your ordinary project credit stays separate. Real estate brokerage, lending, title, appraisal, inspection, settlement services, and other prohibited referral arrangements are excluded. Property Stories are a separate fixed-price marketing service.

Voluntary business enrollment

SITE/STORY LLC provides marketing and introduction tracking. Enrollment is optional and does not purchase a ranking, endorsement, guaranteed work, or exclusivity. Ordinary project credit and existing project packages do not require enrollment. Approved business accounts can self-enroll by accepting these terms in Builder Studio. Only an affirmatively enrolled business can owe a success fee, and only for a qualifying introduction made after acceptance. Site/Story may pause participation for disputes, misuse, or ineligible services.

Qualifying introduction

A qualifying introduction is a new customer first introduced to this business by Site/Story after enrollment, with the first resulting job booked within 180 days of that recorded introduction. Existing customers, documented pre-existing opportunities, repeat jobs, and unapproved regulated services are excluded. Report a prior relationship within seven days of receiving the lead; late evidence can still be reviewed. A click, appointment, proposal, or unsuccessful bid alone earns no fee.

Fee and payer

The winning business pays SITE/STORY LLC 2% of eligible service or labor revenue actually collected on that first qualifying job, including agreed changes to that job, capped at $1,000 for the entire job. Materials, permits, subcontractor pass-through amounts, and refunded eligible receipts are excluded. The business must provide a documented allocation; if it cannot, the parties must agree in writing to an alternative before the introduction. This workflow supports only the stated percentage model. Site/Story does not bill the customer a referral fee or authorize a separate Site/Story surcharge to the customer.

Reporting and billing

Report booking, receipts, eligible allocations, refunds, cancellations, and changes accurately within seven calendar days. Reports are cumulative through separate receipt and refund entries; do not enter the same payment twice. Fees become eligible only after a separate customer contract is signed and applicable cancellation periods have expired. Site/Story reviews reports and issues invoices due in 14 days. Customer project payments go directly to the business. Zelle and Venmo do not automatically deduct Site/Story fees.

Corrections and disputes

Report disputes or incorrect attribution through this record or kristi.sitestory@gmail.com. Disputed fees are held for review. Provide only necessary, redacted supporting documents; never bank credentials, full payment-card details, or unrelated customer records. Refunds reduce eligible receipts. Site/Story reviews any credit owed against previously issued invoices; the system does not automatically refund money. No penalty or late charge is imposed by this program.

Customer choice and responsibilities

Customers choose independently and must check licenses, insurance, references, scope, and contract terms. The business is solely responsible for its work, pricing, permits, warranties, required disclosures, consumer protections, cancellation notices, and payment disputes. Site/Story is not the contractor, broker, escrow holder, insurer, or guarantor. No term waives nonwaivable rights or excuses Site/Story from liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy and permission

Use lead information only to respond to the requested work, deliver the service, and make permitted operational communications. Do not resell it, add people to unrelated marketing lists without permission, or upload confidential documents without authority. Customer status responses and necessary booking and payment records are shared with Site/Story and the assigned business. Private links are bearer access links and must not be shared publicly.

Exclusions and ending enrollment

No success fees for real estate brokerage, mortgage, lending, title, appraisal, inspection, settlement services, or other services prohibited by applicable law or professional rules. The business must confirm that participation is permitted for its services and service area. Site/Story may exclude a job or pause a business when a restriction or dispute applies. Either party can end enrollment for future introductions by contacting Site/Story; existing qualifying introductions remain governed by their recorded terms, subject to applicable law. Changes require fresh agreement and never apply retroactively. Illinois law governs only to the extent permitted by applicable law; no mandatory arbitration or waiver of statutory rights is created.

Electronic records

By affirmatively accepting with a typed name and authority confirmation, the business agrees to these program terms and electronic records for this program. Save or print a copy. Contact Site/Story for a paper copy or to withdraw consent for future electronic enrollment. Withdrawal does not erase existing records or valid obligations.

Customer proposal selection notice

Selecting this proposal records your choice and intent to proceed; it does not replace the contractor’s separate signed construction or service agreement, required disclosures, or cancellation notices, and it does not authorize work or payment by itself. Any binding construction obligations must be set out separately between you and the business. Site/Story does not collect your project payment or guarantee the business or its work. The business may pay Site/Story a success fee for a qualifying introduction; you owe Site/Story no referral fee. Your response and necessary job information are shared with the assigned business and Site/Story. Contact the business directly to exercise cancellation rights; you can also report a cancellation here. No statutory rights are waived.
